Is the NOR-5L42 the right fit for a single dispensing station?

Yes. The NOR-5L42 at 1.48 cu ft fits beside a standard dispensing workstation and clears most under-counter cabinets at the cabinet's 22.4″ height. It's designed for clinic counters, small lab benches, and pharmacy dispensing stations where staff need vaccines or biologics within arm's reach. Typical use: 30–80 door-opens per day, weekly restock from a central depot. For higher throughput, step up to an upright like the NOR-5L316 or NOR-5L416.

What outlet does the NOR-5L42 require?

Standard 115V / 60Hz · 15A outlet, no dedicated circuit. Rated current is 1.5 A, well within standard residential and commercial wall outlet capacity. Plug-and-go installation — no electrician required for standard placement. The unit ships with a 16 h · 12 V SLA battery backup that keeps the alarm and display active during brief outages.

How much clearance does the NOR-5L42 need for ventilation?

Minimum 4″ rear · 2″ sides minimum. Do not install in a fully enclosed cabinet without rear ventilation — insufficient airflow is the leading cause of compressor overload. Front clearance should allow the door to open fully. If your space is tight or you're installing inside a cabinet, share your dimensions and we'll confirm fit before ordering.

How does the heated glass door behave on an under-counter unit?

The NOR-5L42 uses a low-emissivity glass door designed to prevent condensation while maintaining interior visibility. Contents are visible without opening, which reduces door-open frequency and helps maintain temperature stability — especially important on smaller units where each door-open represents a larger percentage of the cabinet volume.

Is white-glove install available for the NOR-5L42?

Yes for GTA delivery. White-glove includes inside placement under your counter or in your designated dispensing area, unpacking, and removal of all packaging. We do not include electrical connection — that's plug-in to standard 15A outlet. For sites outside the GTA, threshold delivery applies and our partner couriers can place the unit at your loading dock or main entrance. Contact us with your address and target install date to confirm scope.
