The Delmin RX Shelving System is a modular gondola infrastructure engineered for pharmacies and clinical retail environments. Designed for scalability, structural stability, and flexible merchandising, the system allows you to build continuous wall runs, central aisles, and promotional end caps using shared structural components.
It is not a single fixture — it is a configurable shelving architecture.

Core Structural Components
Below are the engineered components that form the RX Shelving System.

 1. Wall Single-Sided Unit

A Wall Unit is installed against a perimeter wall.

It provides forward-facing shelving access and is

typically used to build continuous storage or display

runs along pharmacy walls.

First Unit – Includes two uprights (left and right support structure)

Add-On Units – Share an upright with the previous unit, allowing seamless extension)

This structure allows you to extend your wall system

horizontally without duplicating structural components

unnecessarily. Ideal for:

Prescription
storage zones

2. Double-Sided Gondola Unit

A Double-Sided Unit is a freestanding aisle structure positioned in the middle of the floor plan. It provides shelving access from both sides, maximizing product exposure within a single footprint. Unlike wall units, gondolas include:

Back panels on both sides

Dual base decks

Central structural support via shared uprights

Double-sided gondolas are typically used to:

Prescription
storage zones
Create
central aisles
OTC display
walls
Improve floor
plan efficiency
Back-of-store
perimeter shelving
Increase product
facings per square foot

3. End Cap Unit

An End Cap is installed at the exposed end of a

double-sided gondola.

It serves two purposes:

Structural finishing of the aisle

High-visibility merchandising space

End caps attach using a dedicated connector and include a kick plate for stability. They are ideal for promotional items, seasonal displays, or high-margin SKUs. In a complete aisle layout:

Prescription
storage zones
Wall Units build
perimeter structure.
OTC display
walls
Double-Sided Gondolas
create internal aisles.
Back-of-store
perimeter shelving
End Caps complete
and reinforce aisle
terminations.

This configuration forms the backbone of high-density retail layouts.

What type of shelving is best for a pharmacy?

Pharmacy shelving typically includes wall units, double-sided gondolas, and end caps to maximize storage and accessibility.
Delmen shelving systems are designed to create structured layouts that improve workflow, visibility, and space efficiency.

How do I plan shelving for my pharmacy layout?

Start with your back wall, then build out using double-sided runs and end caps based on available space and workflow.
Delmen helps map shelving layouts so the space not only fits but functions efficiently for daily operations.

What is the difference between wall shelving and double-sided shelving?

Wall shelving is installed along the perimeter, while double-sided shelving is placed in the middle of the space to create aisles and increase storage capacity.
Delmen systems are designed to combine both for a complete and balanced layout.

How much shelving does a pharmacy usually need?

It depends on prescription volume, product range, and available floor space.
Delmen helps determine the right configuration so you don’t underbuild (wasted space) or overbuild (crowded layout).

Can shelving be adjusted or expanded later?

Yes. Most pharmacy shelving systems are modular, allowing shelves to be repositioned or additional sections to be added over time.
Delmen shelving is built with flexibility in mind so your setup can grow with your business.
