Which model is right for a walk-in vaccine clinic?

The NOR-5L316 (11 cu ft) and NOR-5L416 (14.7 cu ft) are the standard fit for walk-in vaccine and travel clinics running 80–150 doses per day. Both include heated glass for at-a-glance stock checks without opening the door. If your site experiences power interruptions, the NOR-5L416TG (TempGuard) provides the same capacity with a built-in 8+ hour battery backup — no external UPS required.

Does the thermometer included meet Health Canada logging requirements?

Every unit ships with a calibrated digital thermometer with min/max recall. This supports the daily temperature logging required under Health Canada's vaccine storage guidelines for pharmacies and clinics. The thermometer is factory-calibrated and a calibration certificate is included. Contact us if your specific jurisdiction requires additional documentation.

What's the difference between standard and TempGuard models?

TempGuard models (NOR-5L416TG, NOR-5L756TG, NOR-5L1006TG) are identical to their standard counterparts in capacity, shelving, and door configuration — with one addition: a built-in LiFePO₄ / VRLA battery backup that automatically maintains 2–8°C for up to 8+ hours during a power outage. No external UPS box, no second power outlet, no special installation. If your site has unreliable power or if cold-chain interruptions carry significant stock-loss risk, TempGuard is the appropriate choice.

How much ventilation clearance do upright and double-door models need?

Upright models (NOR-5L316, NOR-5L416, NOR-5L606, TempGuard uprights) require a minimum of 4″ rear clearance and 2″ side clearance. Double-door models ship on a pallet with lift-gate service and require the same clearances, plus adequate door swing space front-of-unit. Under-counter models (NOR-5L42, NOR-5L126) have no ventilation clearance requirements beyond standard undercounter installation.

Can I add a lock to my refrigerator for controlled-substance-adjacent storage?

Lockable doors are standard on most models. If you need controlled narcotic storage, see our Narcotic Safes category — these are purpose-built with time-delay LaGard 703 locks and B-rated steel, meeting College of Pharmacists requirements. Refrigerators are not rated for Schedule I–IV controlled substance storage; a dedicated narcotic safe is required for those items.

What does white-glove delivery include for double-door models?

Double-door models (NOR-5L756, NOR-5L1006, NOR-5L756TG, NOR-5L1006TG) ship palletized with lift-gate service. GTA white-glove delivery includes inside placement into your suite or clinical area (not curbside drop), unpacking, and packaging removal. We coordinate with your contractor if access or placement requirements need advance planning. Contact us with your city, room dimensions, and target install date to confirm scope and timing.

We don't just ship equipment — we get you running.
